Tom Hanks' new film Angels & Demons blurs the line between facts and fiction surrounding a secret society and the Vatican, but the film has angered some researchers calling it "disinformation" and a "whitewash" of what they call a real satanic secret society that continues to exist today.

"It's sad that a great actor like Tom Hanks has become a pawn of Satan and is aiding the cover-up of the existence of the Illuminati today and is a part of Dan Brown's fraud," says Mark Dice, author of The Illuminati: Facts & Fiction. "Brown's book, as well as the film, serves only as disinformation and a whitewash of the real Illuminati."

It's sad that a great actor like Tom Hanks has become a pawn of Satan and is aiding the cover-up of the existence of the Illuminati today and is a part of Dan Brown's fraud
Brown's book, as well as the film, serves only as disinformation and a whitewash of the real Illuminati.

A large subculture of people believe that the Illuminati secretly pull the strings in world events and worship Satan. Mark Dice is an expert on secret societies and insists the Illuminati is active today as an international mafia and is responsible for the 9/11 attacks and the global economic crisis we are facing today.

In his new book, The Illuminati: Facts & Fiction, Mark Dice points to the Skull and Bones fraternity at Yale University, the secretive Bilderberg Group, and the Bohemian Grove as evidence that the Illuminati continues to exist today and did not go into extinction in the 1780s as many believe. "If you read the original writings of Adam Weishaupt, the founder of the Illuminati, it becomes undeniable that their plans have been very successful and the organization continues to thrive," he insists.

Dice is upset at what he calls blatant lies and inaccuracies in Dan Brown's depiction of the Illuminati, and believes Brown himself is working for the secret society as a disinformation agent to make people think the organization is a fictional creation.

Angels & Demons is the film adaptation of Dan Brown's novel of the same title, who also wrote the controversial Da Vinci Code which also starred Hanks. In the new film, Hanks is apposed by the Illuminati, a secret society that historians and scholars agree was created in Bavaria Germany in the late 1700s, which is plotting to blow up Vatican City with an anti-matter bomb. Officially the Illuminati were disbanded when their sinister plans of world domination were discovered by authorities and their members exposed in 1786.

The Illuminati plotted to secretly infiltrate key positions of power in politics, morally corrupt society, and ultimately abolish Christianity. "They have been very successful in achieving their goals," says Dice. "Many people think they were simply a gentlemen's club espousing enlightenment philosophies, but when you read their own writings you realize they were an immoral organization of devious power-hungry men."

In The Illuminati: Facts & Fiction, Mark Dice has compiled evidence of the Illuminati including the group's original writings from the late 1700s and also debunks some of the conspiracy theories that involve the group. "They're not plotting to vaporize Vatican City with an anti-matter bomb like in Angels & Demons, but people would be surprized when they find out that the truth is stranger than fiction when it comes to the Illuminati."

Mark Dice has made international news for rebuking various Hollywood celebrities for their ridiculous behavior, including Jessica Simpson, Paris Hilton, 50 Cent, Tom Cruise and others. He has also demanded that Duke University change the name of their "Blue Devils" sports team to something not offensive to the Christian community, and launched a campaign to remove the Georgia Guidestones occult monument from public property.

FBI called in over Wolverine leak

Posted by Wayne | Friday, April 10, 2009

The FBI are investigating the online leak of an almost finished copy of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, a month before the film's cinema release.

The Hugh Jackman film was downloaded an estimated 100,000 times from file-sharing websites on Tuesday.

20th Century Fox confirmed the copy had now been removed and the FBI informed.

The studio behind Wolverine stated: "The source of the initial leak and any subsequent postings will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law."

"The courts have handed down significant criminal sentences for such acts" the studio noted.

'Stolen and incomplete'

Both the FBI and the Motion Picture Association of America are "actively investigating" the crime.

Fox called the leaked movie a "stolen, incomplete and early version".

Viewers reported that green screens and wires attached to actors were still visible.

One user wrote on film website aintitcool.com: "The CGI is missing and the movie looks horrible without it.

"Even if you see the workprint you're still going to have to go see it in the theatre to fully experience the full movie with CGI effects fully intact."

Fox confirmed the film "was without many effects and had missing scenes and temporary sound and music."
'Forensically marked'

A statement from the studio said that once the film was discovered online they "immediately contacted the appropriate legal authorities and had it removed".

The studio added that because their content is forensically marked they should be able to trace the person who uploaded it.

A brief caption at the beginning of the film reads 'Rising Sun Pictures' and is dated 2 March, 2009.

Rising Sun is an Australian visual effects company that worked on the film - but there is no evidence to suggest it was involved in the leak.

In a statement, the company's chairman, Tony Clark, said: "From the reports we've had, the stolen material is a work in progress version of the film with many incomplete sections.

"As we worked on individual sequences within the film, neither RSP nor its staff members have ever been in possession of a full-length version, so it would have been impossible for the movie to have been leaked from here.

"It's common practice for work in progress between us and the production to carry vendor watermarks and for these works in progress to be integrated into various edits of the film for screenings, which would explain why our name appears."

The Federation Against Copyright Theft said a leak of this kind was extremely unusual as pre-release security had been tightened in recent years.

Access to a whole film is severely restricted, with post production workers being given small portions of the movie to work on and measures put in place to stop it being copied on to disc.
Spokesperson Eddy Leviten explained: "No-one working on a film in any capacity wants to see their hard work released through illegal means - piracy is not a fun thing."

'Hurts fans'

Although several reviews of the incomplete film have appeared online, Fox was quick to praise the reaction of web users to the leak.

"We are encouraged by the support of fansites condemning piracy and this illegal posting and pointing out that such theft undermines the enormous efforts of the filmmakers and actors and, above all, hurts fans of the film" the studio said.

In 2007 director Eli Roth blamed an online leak of his horror film Hostel: Part II for reducing box office returns.

In an interview with MTV he claimed: "You could buy Hostel: Part II for a quarter in Mexico City. As a result, in a lot of countries where the piracy was bad, they just didn't even release it."

The leak came as a new campaign against film piracy launched in UK cinemas.

In a change from recent years, the adverts move away from the message that piracy is theft.

Audiences will instead see a trailer, fronted by Dr Who actor Noel Clarke, thanking them for paying to come and watch a film.

Eminen's new video "We Made You" mocks women who have dominated the news in the last year. Set up as a spoof of the Bret Michaels reality show Rock Of Love, Em pokes fun of Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Kim Kardashian, Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Aniston, Amy Winehouse, Ellen DeGeneres and Sarah Palin.

Though critics can find fault with all of the portrayals, The O'Reilly Factor host Bill O'Reilly defends just one of the women-Sarah Palin, the Alaska Governor who was the 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate.

O'Reilly, a longtime hip-hop antagonist, calls Eminem's depiction of Palin crude. A Palin lookalike dressed in a low cut bustier and business suit sits atop of an office desk, flirting with a shirtless Eminem posing as Palin's husband.

O'Reilly is upset the media has not condemned Em for the video. "Eminem is obviously on an obscene rant about Sarah Palin," O'Reilly says in Wednesday's broadcast. "Totally obscene. Totally inappropriate. Nothing good about it."

O'Reilly feels that political analysts for Media Matters, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times and NBC should have called Eminem to task for his treatment of Palin.

"The video means nothing," O'Reilly says. "It plays before kids who are confused. But the hypocrisy and the dishonesty of the media does mean something in this country. It is out of control and is demonstrable by this."

I know that O'Reilly dishes politics, is a Palin supporter, and wants to blast other media outlets for letting Eminem's political dig slip through the cracks. It is an interesting perspective. However, if he finds offensive and "crude" Eminem's implication that former beauty queen Palin is a sex symbol, I wonder if O'Reilly only feels that way because she is a politician?

What about the video's insensitive and mocking depictions of Amy Winehouse, Jessica Simpson, Ellen DeGeneres, Kim Kardashian and Lindsay Lohan? Are those okay?

Like it or not, "We Made You" is Eminem's typical satire. In my opinion, Tina Fey's pre-election Palin impressions on Saturday Night Live were much more damaging to Palin's image than this Eminem video.

In a blaze of publicity, Australian actor Hugh Jackman zoomed in by helicopter and flying fox to an event to promote the latest X-Men movie, saying he was "heartbroken" that the film had been leaked on the Internet.

At the start of a world tour to promote "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," Jackman unveiled 20 minutes of footage from the action blockbuster to fans and media on Cockatoo Island in the middle of Sydney Harbour, where some of the film was shot.

"Jumped from chopper, arrived to work via flying fox and apoligised (sic) to AUS (Australian) media for Opera House slip up," Jackman wrote on the social networking service Twitter.

The Sydney-born actor was referring to a message, or tweet, sent out on his new Twitter account on Monday in which he mistakenly called the Sydney Opera House the Opera Center.

His Twitter account is just one of the social networking tools being used to promote the comic-book superhero film. Jackman also stars in a YouTube clip in which he urges fans to vote for their city to host the film's premiere later this month.

Jackman, who not only stars in the movie but also produced it via his company Seed Productions, said he was upset for everyone involved in the movie that an unfinished version was posted online last week almost a month before its launch.

The leak sent production company 20th Century Fox, a unit of News Corp, into a spin to try stop spoiling one of the year's most anticipated movies.

Columnist Roger Friedman of Fox News, another News Corp unit, was fired after posting a review of the pirated movie.

"It's a serious crime and there's no doubt it's very disappointing -- I was heartbroken by it," Jackman told a news conference widely reported by the Australian media.

"Obviously people are seeing an unfinished film. It's like a Ferrari without a paint job."

Jackman said he was heartened by the fact that most of the online community condemned the leak and he was confident that the culprit would be caught.

"The FBI are onto it and they're taking it very, very seriously," said the 40-year-old actor, who was voted the "Sexiest Man Alive" by People magazine last year.

"X-Men Origins: Wolverine" is a prequel to the three X-Men movies in which Jackman plays Wolverine, a fictional Marvel Comics character and a role that won him international fame.

The movie is described as the first chapter in the X-Men saga in which Wolverine is united with other legends of the X-Men universe in a revolution that pits the mutants against forces determined to eliminate them.

The film opens to the public in Australia on April 30 and in the United States on May 1.

Michael Phelps - What a dope!

Posted by Wayne | Friday, February 06, 2009

Michael Phelps may have won a record eight gold medals during the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, but now he’s gaining notoriety for a less lofty achievement after a photo of the swimmer allegedly smoking marijuana from a bong was published in the United Kingdom’s News of the World, the New York Daily News reported.

Phelps said yesterday he was sorry for his actions, issuing a public apology.

“I engaged in behavior which was regrettable and demonstrated bad judgment,” Phelps said. “I’m 23 years old and despite the successes I’ve had in the pool, I acted in a youthful and inappropriate way, not in a manner people have come to expect from me.”

He continued by saying he was “sorry” and vowing to his fans that this was a one-time mistake. “I promise my fans and the public it will not happen again.”

The picture of the famous swimmer was shot during a Nov. 6 party at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, where he was visiting a co-ed.

Sources told the British paper that Phelps was asked if he wanted to smoke marijuana. He said yes and was then led to a back room.

“He looked just as natural with a bong in his hand as he does swimming in the pool,” one witness said. “He was the gold medalist of bong hits.”

Phelps’ rep, Clifford Bloxham, was caught off guard by the photo and reportedly attempted to keep the photo from being published, with offers of cash as well as a deal to have the swimmer write a column for the paper for three years.

Phelps is on track to earn approximately $100 million from endorsements and he’s already signed deals with Speedo, Visa, Frosted Flakes cereal and the video game Guitar Hero.

"American Idol" champ David Cook is going back to school, announcing a U.S. tour on Friday that will take him to colleges around the nation.

Cook's 37-date tour will begin on February 13 at Florida State University in Tallahassee and end on April 25 at the University of Tulsa in Oklahoma, AOL music Web site www.PopEater.com said.

Most of the concerts will take place at colleges, including the University of Mississippi and the University of Notre Dame in Indiana. But Cook will also play at Seneca Niagara Casino in New York State and Ameristar Casino in Kansas City, Missouri.

Cook worked as a bartender while trying to make it in the business before winning "American Idol" in May 2008. He said he was keen to get back to his roots and promote the tradition of college tours.

"There's something inherently nostalgic about playing college shows. So many amazing acts used to do it, so it's nice to be able to bring that ideal back, in some small way," Cook said.

"Besides, touring on a bus beats what we used to do, which was cram five guys into a 7 passenger van for one show, 13 hours away," he added.

The rock singer's self-titled debut album came out in November and won the No. 3 spot on the Billboard charts. It is holding at No. 10 this week.

Cook said the inspiration behind the tour is superstar Irish rock band U2, whom he saw perform at the Super Bowl in 2002. "It was just very poignant," Cook said. "Not overdone, but definitely powerful."

The romantic fantasy "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" led Academy Awards contenders Thursday with 13 nominations, among them best picture and acting honors for Brad Pitt and Taraji P. Henson, and a directing slot for David Fincher.

Other best-picture nominees are "Frost/Nixon," "Milk," "The Reader" and "Slumdog Millionaire."

As expected, Heath Ledger had a supporting-actor nomination for "The Dark Knight" on the one-year anniversary of his death from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs. But the Batman blockbuster was shut out for other top categories such as best picture and director.

"Slumdog Millionaire" lived up to its rags-to-riches theme, coming in second with 10 nominations, including a directing spot for Danny Boyle and two of the three song slots.

Real-life couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie both will be going to the Oscars as nominees. Jolie had a best-actress nomination for the missing-child drama "Changeling."

The acting categories were loaded with surprises. Kate Winslet won two Golden Globes, best dramatic actress for "Revolutionary Road" and supporting actress for "The Reader." But she was nominated for lead actress at the Oscars for "The Reader" and shut out for "Revolutionary Road."

Actors considered longshots also sneaked in, among lead-actor nominee Richard Jenkins for "The Visitor," best-actress contender Melissa Leo for "Frozen River" and supporting-actor pick Michael Shannon for "Revolutionary Road."

Winslet reunited with "Titanic" co-star Leonardo DiCaprio for "Revolutionary Road," but he also was shut out for a nomination on that film.

Other best-actress nominees were Anne Hathaway for "Rachel Getting Married" and Meryl Streep for "Doubt."

Joining Pitt and Jenkins in the best-actor category were Frank Langella, "Frost/Nixon"; Sean Penn, "Milk"; and Mickey Rourke, "The Wrestler."

Other acting snubs included Clint Eastwood for "Gran Torino," Sally Hawkins for "Happy-Go-Lucky" and Kristin Scott Thomas for "I've Loved You So Long."

But perhaps the biggest surprise overall was the so-so results for "The Dark Knight," which had been picking up momentum as one Hollywood trade guild after another picked it as one of the year's best films.

The largest blockbuster in years, "The Dark Knight" had eight nominations, but other than Ledger's honor, its scored only in technical categories such as cinematography, visual effects and editing.

Even though Akon has a birth certificate, he says his age is still a mystery — and he'd rather keep it that way.

"All it's going to do is depress me," he told The Associated Press in a recent interview. "I don't want to know I'm getting older. Then I'll start to think about getting checkups and insurance. I don't want that."

Numerous reports have put his age between 25 to 35 years old. In 2006, he gave his age as 25. But now, he claims his birth certificate shows he was born on April 16, 1977, which would make him 31.

Some have accused Akon of trying to push back his age. But the singer, who was born in the United States but spent his early life in Senegal, where his family is from, says he never knew it.

"In Africa ... age is not important over there. They don't care. People only focus on it here (America) and in Europe."

Akon says when people ask, he just gives him a figure that comes to mind.

"I feel like I'm 21 right now," he says. "And I'll be 21 for the next 10 years."

Akon went multiplatinum with his 2006 CD "Konvicted," which included hits such as "Smack That" with Eminem and "Don't Matter." His most recent album, "Freedom," was released in December.

Whether they're recovering from their quarter-life crises or still getting carded at the bar, these precocious celebs won't be worrying about their retirement funds anytime soon.

Collectively, these 20 upstarts brought in $435.5 million between June 2007 and June 2008 -- though non-'tween actors made a somewhat paltry showing in the top 10. The list belongs to the entertainers and athletes, who cornered the market with heavy branding and juicy endorsement deals.

With 10 Grammys, three solo albums, four movies and a pret-a-porter line under her belt, it's no surprise Beyonce Knowles blows away the rest of the list, raking in $80 million -- almost double the $44 million runner-up Justin Timberlake pulled in this fiscal year. The former Destiny's Child lead released her latest album "I am ... Sasha Fierce" Nov. 19, which sold nearly half a million copies in its first week.

Next up for Beyonce? Set for release in December, "Cadillac Records" features Knowles opposite Adrien Brody as famed soulstress Etta James. Her thriller debut, "Obsessed," hits theaters January 2009. The platinum-piped diva plans a worldwide tour next year as well.

Former *NSYNC heartthrob Justin Timberlake found similar success taking his act solo: His 2002 debut album, "Justified," went platinum three times over and sold more than 7 million copies worldwide.

Like Knowles, J.T. diversified his portfolio: With an Emmy, six Grammy awards, and three restaurants to his name, Timberlake is also co-producing NBC's adaptation of the Peruvian TV series "My Problem with Women."

Hot on Timberlake's heels? Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Kobe Bryant. With deals from Coca-Cola, Sony and Nike, the 2007-2008 MVP pulled in $39 million just last year.

Off the court, Bryant heads up mixed-media ad house Zambezi Ink, which recently produced the promotion for Kobe's Nike Hyperdunk shoe. It's a full media makeover for Bryant, who found himself embroiled in accusations of sexual assault three years ago, scaring some major companies like McDonald's into abandoning endorsement deals.

Bryant leads a quick succession of athletes -- Cleveland Cavaliers point forward LeBron James and tennis champs Roger Federer and Maria Sharapova. In fact, athletes take nearly half the top 10 celebs under 30 -- indicative of the power of endorsement deals and testament to the fact that they reach their peak much faster than actors, who gain recognition and fatter paychecks over time.

The average age of the top ten best-paid actors is a solid 43-and-a-half, while women skew somewhat younger at 38. Nonetheless, according to employment data from the Screen Actors Guild, women over 40 received barely a quarter of all roles surveyed, while older men made out with 40%.

That may help explain why only one bona fide non-'tween actress makes it into this top 10: Keira Knightley. The "Pirates of the Caribbean" bombshell, who first drew international attention for her role in the soccer flick "Bend it Like Beckham," has since starred in more serious fare such as Oscar-winning "Atonement" and the remake of "Pride and Prejudice."

Daniel Radcliffe of Harry Potter fame owes his spot in the top 10 to the magical powers of J.K. Rowling's quill: The fifth movie in the seven-book series, "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," grossed $292 million. Now 19, the boy-wonder is wrapping up his run in the Broadway staging of "Equus," which won quite a few double-takes for the young star's nude scene. He's a long way from Hogwarts, Hedwig.

'Tween superstar Miley Cyrus may have the most meteoric rise to fame -- her Disney Channel show "Hannah Montana" debuted in 2006, but it has since evolved into a formidable preteen franchise. Both her albums, "Meet Miley Cyrus" and "Breakout," have taken top spot on the Billboard 200. Listed among Time's top 100 most influential people of 2008, the 16-year-old most recently closed Disneyland for her birthday and lent her voice to the animated film "Bolt," which debuted at No. 3 on Nov. 28.

Twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen round out the top 10--the waif-like media duo have made some recent and relatively unsuccessful forays onto the big screen (think floptastic "New York Minute"). Now best known for their fashion choices and tabloid appearances, the former "Full House" stars reign over vast pan-media company Dualstar, whose clothing and accessories lines cater to the lucrative preteen demographic.

In a testament to the profitability of 'tween sensationalism, the Jonas Brothers and the "Harry Potter" and "High School Musical" crews cluster in the bottom half of the top 20. Whether any of them will have the staying power to remain on the list next year -- or even climb up a few notches -- will depend on their ability to brand themselves and diversify their resume--trademarks of their successful top-10 elders.

John Travolta Son Killed By Seizure

Posted by Wayne | Tuesday, January 06, 2009

Jett Travolta's body shows no sign of head trauma and his death certificate says he was killed by a seizure, an undertaker said Monday, after doctors performed an autopsy on the 16-year-old son of the U.S actor.

The remains of John Travolta's son were being cremated and his parents planned to return to the United States with the ashes on Tuesday, said Keith McSweeney, director of the funeral home handling the body.

Jett Travolta had a history of seizures and was found unconscious in a bathroom Friday at a family vacation home on Grand Bahama Island.

Glen Campbell, assistant director of the funeral home, told The Associated Press that the body is in "great condition," despite police officials who had said the teen hit his head on a bathtub.

Authorities didn't release the results of an autopsy performed Monday, but Campbell saw the body and the death certificate, which was based on its findings.

"The only cause of death that was listed was 'seizure'," he said.

Late Monday, a black hearse traveled from the funeral home to the airport after the family indicated they were bringing Jett's remains to Ocala, Florida, where they own a home. Two white jets waited as police in dress uniforms blocked access to the tarmac.

But the hearse was dispatched as a ruse, McSweeney told a news conference later Monday. He said he could not explain the reason for the decoy.

In a public statement released Sunday, John Travolta and wife Kelly Preston said they were "heartbroken that our time with him was so brief."

Travolta tried CPR to revive his son, who may have died in his arms before an emergency medical technician took over, Usmagazine.com reported, citing Travolta attorneys Michael McDermott and Michael Ossi. They did not respond to calls from the AP on Monday.

Travolta, 54, and Preston, 46, have said Jett became very sick when he was 2 years old and was diagnosed with Kawasaki Syndrome, an illness that leads to inflamed blood vessels. Preston has blamed household cleaners and fertilizers and said a detoxification program based on teachings from the Church of Scientology helped improve his health, according to People magazine.

Police said in a statement that Jett had not been seen since Thursday when a caretaker, Jeff Kathrain, found him unconscious late Friday morning. But McDermott said that wrongly left the impression that Jett was unsupervised. He said two nannies were with Jett throughout the evening, and he does not believe the teen was in the bathroom for very long.

About a dozen security guards and Bahamian police officers patrolled around the luxury Old Bahama Bay resort community Sunday where the Travoltas have their home. The white-sand beach in front of the suites was closed.

The couple also has an 8-year-old daughter, Ella Bleu.

Bahamian Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham sent condolences to the Travolta family and said the autopsy is a formality the country requires in cases of sudden death to rule out foul play.

Beyonce admits her 8-month marriage to Jay-Z is a "power struggle.

"But if I didn't respect someone, and they didn't have that strength, then I would be bored," she says in the January issue of Elle.

"I wouldn't be attracted to them," she adds.

And don't expect the 27-year-old to have kids any time soon.

"I'm terrified of having a child. No way!" she says. "I'm terrified of delivering a child because I saw my nephew being born. That traumatized me."

Little sis Solange Knowles welcomed Daniel in 2004.

Plus, "I'm only 27," Beyonce adds. "I've got time."

For now, she's focusing on her career. Her album, I Am...Sasha Fierce was released Nov. 18, and her flick, Cadillac Records, hits theaters Friday.

Playing tough talking jazz singer Etta James in the drama was a departure from her usual, sweet self, she says.

"My mom had to leave the set. I don't normally curse. Maybe twice a year," she says. "I have to be really livid. Somebody saying things or scheduling something where I'm not in control."

Using all the profanity "was freeing, but it was also the most emotionally draining time of my life. Every day I would come home; my eyes would be completely swollen," she says.

Beyonce's mom, Tina Knowles, also opened up about slapping her daughter for acting like a diva during a promotional appearance.

"My husband came up and said, 'Tina! She's got the No. 1 record on the radio!' I said, 'I dont care!'" Tina says. "I was terrified. I had seen people take your child and turn them into something you didnt want them to be.

"I taught my girls to pick up their own suitcases," she adds. "Pretty is as pretty does. Like my mother said, 'You got to be cute on the inside.'"

Afternoon Piss: Australia Awarded?

Posted by Wayne | Monday, December 15, 2008

Hugh Jackman, People's Sexiest Man Alive, is switching his hosting duties from Broadway to H'wood now that he's been tapped to host 2009's Oscars, as you've no doubt heard.

Good for H.J.—we're sure he'll be able to score a +2 since he'll be hosting the damn show. We adore Jackman and all his many talents (i.e., his abs and pecs), but does this mean Australia, his Golden Globe-dissed epic, will have to be nominated for something undeservedly?

Just imagine how awkward it'll be to have the star of a flick, one who reaches Jennifer Aniston proportions of desperation for attention by the Academy, shelling out his services for nothing in return nomination-wise.

The film's action scenes were show-offy, which the Academy drools over, but Dark Knight and Iron Man did it much better. And as far as performances go, no offense, Hugh, your sweaty chest was fab, but Nicole's forehead stole the show—and not in a good way. Let's hope the Oscars don't turn into the VMAs and just give awards away because of politics—unless you really think Britney deserved Best Everything of the Year.

Hugh Jackman has "the most boring job in the world" according to his son. The "Australia" actor took his children Oscar, eight and Ava Eliot, three, to live on set while making the film.

Although his son was initially keen to follow in his father's acting footsteps, he soon grew tired of the lengthy shooting sequences.

Hugh said: "There was this one scene Oscar was in, where it took four days to shoot and it was perfect because after four days he came up to me and said, 'Dad, you have the most boring job in the world. I never want to do it again.'"

The 40-year-old star was initially reluctant for Oscar to appear in the movie, but soon agreed to his son's demands.

He revealed: "We shot for eight months, and I gave in after about six months because it was hard for him. All the aboriginal kids he was hanging out with were all in the movie, and he couldn't understand why he wasn't."

Hugh adds that despite his best efforts, Oscar hasn't naturally taken to sports either, and a recent trip to a Los Angeles Lakers' play-off game produced disastrous results.

He added in an interview on U.S. TV talk show "Jimmy Kimmel Live!": "It was an unbelievable match. We were sitting next to David Arquette and Sacha Baron Cohen. Three minutes into the first quarter, Oscar says, 'I want to go home, this is so boring.'"

"Then I had the stupid idea of giving him some candy. He grabbed the bag, and spilled them. Thank God it was a time-out. Literally we're - me and Sacha Baron Cohen on hands and knees, picking up candy from the court!"

Yes, of course, we all know that Dingdong Dantes has been included in the list of The 25 Sexiest Men of the World. But did you know how he is ranked - that is, after David Beckham who placed No. 1?

Yes, Dingdong is No. 6, way, away ahead of Spain's Enrique Iglesias who finished No.25.

This was reported by Funfare's Big Apple correspondent Edmund Silvestre (of The Filipino Reporter) who said that Hollywood's E! Entertainment Television has finally released its roster of 25 Sexiest Men of the World, with Filipino heartthrob Dingdong placing No. 6, a position good enough to give him the honor of being the highest-ranked Asian celebrity hunk in the elite list.

Edmund noted that Dingdong, star of the top-rated GMA soaps Marimar and Dyesebel and one of the country's top product endorsers, was a spot below Oscar nominee Djimon Hounsou (Amistad, Blood Diamond), but several slots ahead of Hollywood hotties Ryan Reynolds, Oliver Martinez, and Enrique Iglesias who is half-Filipino.

The eye-catching Bench and Belo Medical Clinic billboards featuring Dingdong are said to have boosted his chances in that selection.

"Never in my wildest dream na naisip kong mapapabilang ako rito," Dingdong said shortly before he was informed of his selection a few months ago. "Nakaka-flatter na may nakaka-appreciate sa akin...isang malaking karangalan ito para sa akin. I'm very thankful talaga. Maybe because minamahal ko talaga ang trabaho ko that's why siguro it loves me back."

According to Edmund, 20 judges were recruited by E! (Entertainment Television) to come up with the list of the world's 25 hottest blokes topped by UK football superstar David Beckham, with Johnny Depp taking the second place. Both Beckham and Depp said they are flattered by their inclusion.

Dingdong, has recently broke up with long-time girlf Karylle whom he just might meet in Las Vegas where she's singing the National Anthem at the Pacquiao-dela Hoya bout. He is now reportedly "secretly" dating Marian Rivera but the two consistently denied any serious relations. He and Marian are scheduled to star in a concert in LA on Friday, Dec. 5, after which Dingdong plans to fly to Las Vegas with his father to watch the Pacquiao-dela Hoya bout.

E! is one of the most widely viewed cable networks, available to 80 million cable and direct broadcast satellite subscribers in the US, and in 600 million homes internationally.

How true is the buzz that Diether Ocampo is leaving ABS-CBN for GMA-7? Some people find it hard to believe that Diet is switching networks. He has been Kapamilya for the past 13 years, and he’s still one of the hottest stars of Star Magic. His last series with ABS-CBN was Iisa Pa Lamang.

Philippine Star Entertainment Editor Ricky Lo had written that Diet inked a four-year contract with GMA-7 after saying goodbye to his bosses at ABS-CBN. His first project as a Kapuso will be a series based on the Korean TV hit All About Eve.

ABS-CBN has denied that Diether has jumped ship, and that he hasn’t signed any contract. GMA-7 is keeping mum, and one of its executives said she’d rather wait for Diet to make the announcement himself.

The difference seems to fade in One True Love, the co-production of GMA Films and Regal Entertainment that brings together for the first time on the big screen Kapuso teleserye stars Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera. The movie opened in several theaters last Wednesday, a day after its premiere. It reportedly grossed P10 million on its first day.

There has been a lot of speculation about whether Dingdong and Marian have a thing going on. Dingdong has just announced that he and Karylle had just broken up, and he himself has denied he isn’t ready for another relationship. But for weeks the buzz is that Marian was the reason for the split. And a source who is close to Dingdong and Marian claims that the two seem to be gravitating towards each other.

If that is true, One True Love could mirror real life. In the movie, Dingdong plays a doctor who marries a nurse played by Marian. Just hours after their wedding, Dingdong crashes his motorcycle (he had no helmet on) and suffers a severe concussion.

When he wakes up after being hospitalized for several days, he doesn’t recall having Marian as his girlfriend or marrying her. He only remembers his former sweetheart, Iza Calzado. He refuses to accept Marian as his wife and tries to resume his relationship with Iza. Marian, meanwhile, tries her best to win over Dingdong. A love triangle develops.

Dingdong is soon caught in a tug-of-war. So who has the stronger pull, Marian or Iza? Watch One True Love.
